It may also be used in other neoplastic conditions where depletion of erwinase might be expected to have a useful effect.Erwinase is used with or without other anticancer (chemotherapy) drugs to treat acute lymphocytic leukemia and works by starving tumor cells of needed nutrients and slowing tumor cell growth.

Canmab (Trastuzumab) manufactured by Biocon. Its main use is to treat certain breast cancers. The HER receptors are proteins that are embedded in the cell membrane and communicate molecular signals from outside the cell (molecules called EGFs) to inside the cell, and turn genes on and off. The HER proteins stimulate cell proliferation. In some cancers, notably certain types of breast cancer, HER2 is over-expressed, and causes cancer cells to reproduce uncontrollably.

Lumigan:

  • Lumigan ophthalmic reduces pressure in the eye by increasing the amount of fluid that drains from the eye. Lumigan ophthalmic is used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye. Lumigan is also used to improve fullness, length, and color of the eyelashes in people with a condition called hypotrichosis (HYE-poe-trye-KOE-sis), a lack of eyelash growth.
  • Lumigan ophthalmic may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide. Lumigan is a prostamide, a synthetic structural analog of prostaglandin with ocular hypotensive activity. It selectively mimics the effects of naturally occurring substances, prostamides. Lumigan lowers intraocular pressure (IOP) in humans. Elevated IOP presents a major risk factor for glaucomatous field loss. The higher the level of IOP, the greater the likelihood of optic nerve damage and visual field loss. Indication: For the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are intolerant of other intraocular pressure lowering medications or insufficiently responsive (failed to achieve target IOP determined after multiple measurements over time) to another intraocular pressure lowering medication. Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are intolerant of other intraocular pressure lowering medications or insufficiently responsive (failed to achieve target IOP determined after multiple measurements over time) to another intraocular pressure lowering medication. For the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are intolerant of other IOP-lowering medications or insufficiently responsive (failed to achieve target IOP determined after multiple measurements over time) to another IOP-lowering medication.  Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are intolerant of other intraocular pressure-lowering medications or insufficiently responsive (failed to achieve target IOP determined after multiple measurements over time) to another intraocular pressure-lowering medication. Lumigan is used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma (open-angle type) or other eye diseases (e.g., ocular hypertension). Lowering high pressure inside the eye can help prevent blindness. This medication works by regulating the flow of fluid within the eye to maintain a normal pressure.

Used for:

  • Lumigan is an antiglaucoma preparation. It belongs to a group of medicines called prostamides. Lumigan eye drops are used to reduce high pressure in the eye. This high pressure can lead to a disease called glaucoma. If the high pressure is not reduced, it could eventually damage your sight. Your eye contains a clear, watery liquid that feeds the inside of the eye. Liquid is constantly being drained out of the eye and new liquid is made to replace this. If the liquid cannot drain out quickly enough, the pressure inside the eye builds up. Lumigan works by increasing the amount of liquid that is drained. This reduces the pressure inside the eye. Lumigan may be used on its own or with other drops called beta-blockers which also reduce pressure. Lumigan ophthalmic solution, a prostaglandin analogue, is indicated for the reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) by increasing the outflow of aqueous humor from the eye chamber. Lumigan ophthalmic solution is effective against glaucoma and other eye disorder that cause IOP. Lumigan ophthalmic solution improves length, density and colour of eyelashes in hypotrichosis patients.
